Presidential Elections

I revisited the U.S. Presidential elections that I remember. I was 2 years old in 2000 and 6 years old in 2004. I wasn’t exactly focused on elections at those ages. So, I decided to start with the 2008 election. I remember watching the election in class. We were discussing it in history class. It was my first time voting in class. I chose Obama, and my friend’s mother was upset about it (even though I was still a kid and didn’t know anything about politics). My vote also didn’t count. So, I’m still not sure why she was so upset. My first time legally voting was in 2016. I happened to turn 18 in June of that year. I remember we had a school project. We made posters of the candidates we supported. I chose Clinton. My friends kept telling me that Trump was the better candidate.

I still wasn’t that interested in politics at the time. It was just nice to be old enough to vote. I really got into politics in the 2020 election. I started doing deep research on the candidates and American history. I was surprised to find how much the Democratic party told lies about Trump or twisted his words. Of course, Trump wasn’t completely innocent either. Politics is a dirty game of trying to choose the lesser evil.

Anyhow, I decided to look at each candidate’s charts. You can see if they are running a good or challenging dasha during the election. The candidate with a favorable dasha should have a better chance of winning. This worked perfectly in my observations. The only challenge was with Mitt Romney and Joe Biden. Their birth times were from memory. I don’t think that’s a reliable reference. Sometimes, I’ve used birth times from memory for clients. Parents tend to remember an estimate of the time. However, I want to ensure we have the correct information for such a big event. Joe Biden’s birth time especially concerns me. I know he has memory issues, and the time doesn’t seem accurate from my observation.

The Yogas were more reliable than anything else. Even exalted planets didn’t guarantee a win (although they certainly helped). Yogas are specific to Vedic Astrology. The word Yoga means “union.” So, they are special combinations formed by planetary positions. I think most Vedic Astrologers predicted Trump would win in 2016. That’s because of the powerful Raja Yoga in his chart. Raja means “king.” It doesn’t mean everyone with this Yoga will be a king or president. However, it means that they will acquire status and recognition. That can be as small as getting recognition in your community or as big as becoming the president. It just depends on the strength of the planets involved.
