Earlier this year (2024), we had a legendary rap beef between Drake and Kendrick Lamar. We’ve had disses back and forth in previous years. Kendrick called out Drake’s name on “Control”- Big Sean in 2013. Yet, this year was the true battle. It started with “First Person Shooter”- Drake ft. J. Cole, including a music video. Kendrick Lamar declared war when featured on “Like That”- Future and Metro Boomin. J. Cole responded with “7 Minute Drill.” Then, J. Cole apologized and removed the diss track from his album “Might Delete Later.” Drake responded with “Push Ups.” Then, Drake released “Taylor Made Freestyle” ft. AI 2pac and AI Snoop Dogg. The 2pac Estate made Drake take down the song. Kendrick responded with “euphoria.” Then Kendrick released “6:16 in LA.” Drake responded with “Family Matters,” including a music video. Kendrick responded with “Meet the Grahams.” Then Kendrick released “Not Like Us.” Drake responded with “The Heart Part 6.” Kendrick did a pop-out concert for “Not Like Us.” Then he released the music video for “Not Like Us.” J. Cole explained his forfeit from the beef again in “Port Antonio.” It’s obvious to most people that Kendrick Lamar won the battle. This was an interesting beef, and I find myself continually revisiting the songs. Of course, Kendrick didn’t just beat Drake. He just released his new album called “GNX.” I didn’t skip a single song on the album; there’s only one song I could do without. He did a phenomenal job. Kendrick was also picked to perform at the Super Bowl halftime show. So, I thought I would look at the dashas of Drake and Kendrick. The one with the stronger dasha should be the winner. I didn’t include J. Cole’s dashas because he doesn’t have an accurate birth time. He’s an Ashwini (0°- 13°20' Aries) native, no matter what time he was born. Yet, we don’t know how far he was in his Ketu Dasha at birth. It depends on the degrees of the Janma Nakshatra (Birth Star/Moon Nakshatra).
